US condemns shelling of UN school in Gaza but restocks Israeli ammunition

there was little evidence of Washington using its leverage with Israel, including record levels of military aid, to apply pressure on Jerusalem to curtail its offensive.

The Pentagon confirmed a CNN report that the US had recently provided Israel with a shipment of ammunition. “The United States is committed to the security of Israel, and it is vital to US national interests to assist Israel to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability,” said Pentagon press secretary Rear Admiral Kirby. “This defense sale is consistent with those objectives.”

The Zionist pub NGO Monitor is keeping the story alive, with a November 4 piece of reporting, “The Strange Story of the Lancet Editor and Israel.”  This is yellow journalism at its best: “Perhaps Horton’s role in the unethical war against Israel does not reflect inherent anti-Semitism, but rather overriding ambition and the influence of his social and intellectual milieu.”

Nowhere does the report state that there has been relentless violence by Israeli occupation forces and settlers against Palestinians.

I am astonished by what comes from the West and am reminded of an adage in Arabic: nothing coming from the West makes our heart happy. The decision of the European Court in Brussels to remove the Hamas movement from the list of “terrorists”, placed there following American-Israeli pressure, is already being questioned and attacked by some European countries, while Israel claims the decision proves Europe has learned nothing from the Holocaust.
