Standing in the empty fields, Abu Saqr, one of the elders of Al Hadidiya, points toward a greener area a few hundred meters away, saying, “Here is one of the settlements.” On the adjacent hill, the monochrome landscape gives way to an oasis of colors: a small island of lush vegetation, red roofs and white walls.

According to a European Union report issued last year, in 1967 between 200,000 and 320,000 Palestinians lived in Area C of the West Bank. But demolition of Palestinian homes and structures, and the prevention of new buildings, has seen the population drop to 150,000.

L'esercito israeliano ha consegnato ieri 11 ordini di demolizione per altrettante abitazioni civili di Deir Nidham, vicino a Nabi Saleh, il villaggio palestinese del distretto di Ramallah dove da anni la popolazione locale resiste con azioni di protesta pacifiche contro la costruzione del Muro israeliano.

Betlemme, 10 maggio 2013, Nena News - Sono trascorsi undici anni dall'assedio israeliano alla Chiesa della Natività: undici anni di esilio per i dodici dei tredici palestinesi deportati in Europa dopo 40 giorni di coprifuoco israeliano. Altri 26 furono deportati nella Striscia di Gaza.
