KHAN AL-AHMAR– Dozens of metal and wooden tents cling to the rocky hillside, just outside Jerusalem along the road leading to the Dead Sea, while the unmistakable red roofs of Israeli settlements peak out from behind opposite hilltops.

The Al-Maleh and the Bedouin Tribes Village Council in the Jordan Valley reported that Israeli soldiers started, on Monday evening, the eviction of dozens of Bedouin families in the area in preparation to conduct military training.

the most important factor in South Africa's success was the agreed-upon goal - one person, one vote. It is about time the Palestinians adopt this goal. It is time for them to understand that the two-state dream is becoming impossible. That the occupation is stronger than them, that the settlements are already too large and that the Palestinian state, even if established, will be no more than a group of Bantustans separated by the "settlement blocs" that grew to monstrous proportions and have won consensus approval from Israelis and the international community.

Il 14 aprile 2011 è stato un giorno speciale per la famiglia Hizme del villaggio di Turmusaya: è stato uno dei pochi giorni in cui sono stati autorizzati a lavorare la loro terra che, sfortunatamente per loro, si trova vicino all'insediamento israeliano di Adei Ad. Hanno ricevuto il necessario permesso dall'esercito. Nonostante ciò, dopo circa un'ora e mezzo di lavoro, ufficiali dell'IDF sono arrivati e gli hanno ordinato di andarsene, per "non causare problemi con i coloni". Poco dopo, un veicolo israeliano è giunto sul posto e sette civili sono scesi. Quando i soldati li hanno visti, li hanno accolti con un "buongiorno" gridato dall'altoparlante della jeep.
