Amir and his mother just hours before he was abducted by Israeli soldiers. (Nora Barrows-Friedman)

""Two of the soldiers stopped us and handcuffed us," Amir said. "They brought us to two separate jeeps. They took me to the settlement and put me in a corner. I still had handcuffs on. They put a dog next to me. I said that I wanted to go home. They said no, and told me I would stay here forever. They refused to let me use the bathroom. They wouldn't let me call my mother. They blindfolded me and I stayed there like that until my father was able to come and get me late at night." Amir's detention inside the settlement lasted nearly ten hours. "The only thing that I thought about was how afraid I was, especially with the dog beside me. I wanted to run away and go back to my house," he said." (thanks Nora)

Israeli Soldiers prevented his brother and father from extending their hands to him

The Israeli Criminal Army has imprisoned 12-year old Alhassan Muhtasib of Hebron for the past 9 days. Alhassan, was arrested with his younger brother, Alameer, 7, who was severely beaten by the barbaric forces for suspicion they threw stones.

While the younger Muhtasib was located by his family on day one at an Israeli Army base, the older was moved three different times to different settlements and army prisons. His bail was set too high for the family living under military occupation to come up with, and as such, the kid remained in jail.

Until today; he appeared in court in front of a military judge who agreed to release him ‘on bail’ sort of speak. Basically forcing his father to sign an affidavit assuming “responsibility” for the kid’s appearance at his next court date… this could mean Father’s arrest, or family home’s demolition, or a whole host of other collective punishment actions that Israel has mastered.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society has assembled a team of ten lawyers to defend the 12-year old from the Israeli “Justice System.”

1. L'Amministrazione Civile ha rifiutato la posizione dei coloni di demolire tutte le costruzioni che si trovano all'accampamento beduino di  Al Ahmar;
2. Nessun ordine di demolizione sarà emesso dall'Amministrazione Civile prima della fine dell'anno scolastico, anche se l'ingiunzione rimane ancora valida;

An Israel Defense Forces court on Sunday agreed to release from custody a 13-year-old Palestinian boy held for nine days on suspicion of throwing stones at soldiers.

The boy has been held since his first remand hearing, on March 2, when his father was unable to pay the NIS 2,000 the court required for him to be released on bail. He was released on Sunday without paying bail.

An Israel Defense Forces soldier detained the boy, identified by his initials A.M., and his 11-year-old brother in Hebron's Old City, on the afternoon of February 27. The boys' father tracked down his younger son and was able to bring him home around 10 P.M. (military law prohibits the detention of minors under the age of 12).

The older brother had been transferred earlier that day to the police station in the nearby Jewish settlement of Kiryat Arba, but his father was prevented from seeing him. Later on he was moved again, this time to Ofer Prison, southwest of Ramallah.

The boys' mother told the human rights organization B'Tselem that the younger child was "tired and scared, and his pants were wet because he had urinated in them while being held there for several hours."
