L’avvocato Mahmoud al Halabi, dell’Associazione dei prigionieri politici palestinesi, riferisce che negli ultimi giorni 47 palestinesi sono stati posti in “detezione amministrativa”, ossia in carcere per mesi senza processo e conoscere le accuse

Gerusalemme, 2 agosto 2017, Nena News - Negli ultimi giorni 47 palestinesi, tra cui Hassan Yousef (Hamas), membro del Consiglio legislativo palestinese, sono stati posti in “detenzione amministrativa” per ordine dei giudici militari israeliani. Vuol dire che rimarranno per mesi in carcere senza subire un processo e senza conoscere le accuse per le quali si trovano dietro le sbarre. A riferirlo è stato l’avvocato Mahmoud al Halabi, dell’Associazione dei prigionieri politici palestinesi, che ieri ha incontrato un gruppo di giornalisti.

Présenté devant un juge mardi 29 août, Salah Hamouri a été placé en détention administrative pour une durée de six mois minimum. Ce Franco-Palestinien est soupçonné d'avoir renoué avec des « organisations politiques illégales », ce qu’il nie. Salah Hamouri a déjà purgé sept ans de prison en Israël avant d'être relâché dans le cadre de l'échange de prisonniers avec Gilad Shalit en 2011. Il était accusé d'avoir projeté l'assassinat du rabbin le plus influent de l'Etat hébreu, mais s'est toujours déclaré innocent. Sa famille et ses avocats ne comprennent pas cette nouvelle condamnation.

There is nothing better for Israel’s security that having Abbas as the PA’s chairman. It’s reasonable to assume that whoever steps into his shoes will have to be more extreme with regard to Israel, both as a means of bolstering his standing and because Abbas’s position on security collaboration with Israel is unpopular among Palestinians. So why is the defense minister doing everything possible to weaken Abbas, even calling on one occasion to withhold the transfer of taxes Israel collects for the PA until he leaves his post?
