Tzaga, a 29-year-old asylum seeker from Eritrea, works in a minimarket in Rishon Letzion every day from morning until it closes late at night. Over the past six months, since the so-called deposit law went into effect, requiring Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers to deposit 20 percent of their salaries for a special fund that will repay them only when they leave the country, many of them find it difficult to make a living.

After a checkpoint moves deeper into the Palestinian area, residents of al-Walaja will no longer be able to visit the local spring or their fields beyond it


Once the checkpoint relocated, Palestinians without Jerusalem resident papers will not be allowed to pass through it. They will not be able to visit the spring area or their fields and terraces beyond it.

Netanyahu: uno Stato sovrano palestinese non funzionerebbe

Secondo il premier israeliano Netanyahu uno Stato sovrano palestinese “non funzionerebbe” e sarebbe destinato a fallire. Il quotidiano Haaretz riferisce che Netanyahu parlando a Londra, dove ieri ha partecipato alle celebrazioni britanniche per il centenario della Dichiarazione Balfour,   ha detto che occorre ripensare al modello di sovranità conosciuto sino ad oggi, di fronte “al fallimento” di tanti Stati in giro per il mondo.
