Why is Israel so concerned about a Palestinian woman from Ramallah who is married to a citizen of a certain European country, or about a Palestinian man from Bethlehem whose beloved has an American passport? What bothers Israel so much about these “mixed” couples that it sends its long arm into their bedrooms, yanks the partner who is not a resident of the West Bank out of there – and deports them beyond the borders of Israel?

Israel revokes citizenship of hundreds of Negev Bedouin, leaving them stateless

Hundreds if not thousands of [Negev Bedouin residents] are losing their citizenship due to “erroneous registration.” This is the reason they get from the Interior Ministry, with no further details or explanation.

4. It’s not happenstance that the two Israeli policemen killed were Druze. Israel has deliberately assigned large numbers of them to areas where the friction with the oppressed Palestinian is direct and unmediated: In the Civil Administration in the West Bank, in the alleyways of Jerusalem’s Old City, in the Hebron police. Let them attack each other, hate each other as much as possible, swell with bitterness against each other, savage each other. Let their common Palestinian identity be shattered and pulverized.

Dopo 10 anni di assedio e guerre devastanti, la recente decisione di Israele di ridurre a Gaza il già scarso rifornimento di elettricità, arrivando a erogarla per solo due ore al giorno, sta infliggendo enormi sofferenze alla popolazione della Striscia perché ha effetti gravissimi sulle sue stesse possibilità di sopravvivenza.
