“[...] Il mio patriottismo è stato sopravvivere qui, a Gerusalemme. Costruire una casa e trovare un lavoro qui, a Geruslemme, per ognuno dei miei quattro figli maschi. Ora ho anche 12 nipoti. Noi siamo qui, restiamo qui. Esattamente come fece mio padre, tanti e tanti anni fa. Scappammo in Giordania per qualche mese, lasciando la nostra casa di Gerusalemme Ovest, nel quartiere di German Colony. Oggi ci vivono degli israeliani e dopo così tanto tempo hanno diritto anche loro di chiamarla casa.
