After we sent the newsletter to the printers, the situation in Israel and Palestine continued to crush our hearts even more with a number of horrific attacks on Jewish Israelis and increasingly brazen Israeli government repression of Palestinians, including Palestinian citizens of Israel.
Meanwhile, the steady drumbeat of inconceivable yet routine Israeli military shootings of Palestinians continues while largely being ignored in the press, and no time can heal the wounds of this summer in Gaza: the winter encroaches while a stunning 100,000 Palestinians remain displaced.
In some ways, taking a moment to be inspired by our growth may feel dissonant when we are reminded of these horrors. But it is precisely this growth, and the uprising for equality and fairness clearly unfolding in Jewish and other communities across America, that gives many of us the most hope of all.

P.S. We may not have the budget, but with passion and truth on our side, we're leaving AIPAC in the dust. As of this morning, we've got nearly 200,000 Facebook followers with millions seeing our posts regularly. AIPAC can't even break 100,000. And 1.5 million people have watched our videos. Only 1 million have watched theirs. If we had even a tenth of their $60 million plus budget, imagine what we could do.
